After graduating 2004 from the Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany with a diploma in educational science I moved to the USA and worked for several years in the touring music business. When my husband and I started a family, I became a Stay-At-Home mother. My initial interest in massage therapy was sparked while working at a hospital in Germany and going through nursing school. At the time I struggled deeply with feeling rushed and hurried in caring for my patients, many gravely ill. All I wanted back then was to be able to spend more time with the person to connect on a deeper level beyond the physical aspects of personal hygiene and standard care. This life experience and the decision to be a Stay-at-Home mother for the majority of my kids childhood has exposed very clearly my empathetic and compassionate character. It is most rewarding for me to contribute to the well being of the people around me and I get tremendous joy out of making a difference for others. I believe it is my natural strength. My innate aspiration for organic, eco-conscious, healthy and holistic living made massage therapy education a most natural career extension at this stage of my life and in the spring of 2023 I graduated from Cumberland Institute for Holistic Therapies. My personal focus lies within the healing capacity of nurturing human touch itself and I integrate different modalities depending on the needs of my clients. I have been told that I bring a sense of calm, down-to-earth and solid skill to the table. My personal experience with chronic pain due to developmental hip dysplasia confirms my belief that massage can have a powerful impact on a person. My perception of pain has changed by feeling more connected with myself and I recognize the self-healing power touch creates. In addition massages have reduced my stress level tremendously and I have become simply happier and more content in my life.
